Board of Directors

Service on our Board of Directors offers a tremendous opportunity to help mold our programs and strategies, the impact of which will be felt for many years.  The role of CEN Board Members is to:

In the immediate term, Board Members are also expected to pitch in on a limited basis to perform operational tasks. It is anticipated that this will become less and less of a board member's role over the next 1-2 years.

We’re looking for prospective Board Members to:

  1. Share our organization’s passion and commitment for empowering communities in developing countries so they can develop themselves
  2. Contribute annually to the organization, according to their financial ability,  as a demonstration of support of our mission and work
  3. Invite friends and others to our events, and thank donors for their support
  4. Provide expertise in one or more of the following areas:
Estimated time commitment: a minimum of 8 hours on average per month, and are expected to participate (in person or by teleconference) in quarterly Board Meetings.

Advisory Council

The CEN Advisory Council is a consultative group that will assist the full Board of Directors in the following ways:
 As a member of the CEN Advisory Council you will receive:
Participation in on the CEN Advisory Council is a wonderful way to support CEN without committing yourself to attend regular meetings

Estimated time commitment: Less than 1 hour per month
